Over the last two months, our community engagement team has been knocking on doors to speak with residents about the work we have been doing along Old Westbury Road and Powerhouse Road, as well as upcoming work in Roslyn Heights to keep the community informed and answer any questions.

Last week the construction team began work on the regulator station at the corner of Red Ground Road and Old Westbury Road in the Village of Old Westbury, and we are pleased to note that the work is continuing on schedule. Because of the hard work of our team in installing the underground vaults quickly, no overnight work is needed for the coming week. In addition, preliminary work will continue on the Roslyn Heights regulator station this week.

*Over the next week, expect to see:

  • Prefabrication welding and continued mobilization of material and equipment.
  • During the day (7:00AM – 3:30PM) all week the right lane of the LIE Service Road will be closed 200 feet east and west of Red Ground Road, Old Westbury. Flaggers will be present to provide an alternate route.
  • Excavation of utility test holes and saw-cutting of pavement on Harding Avenue in Roslyn Heights.
  • During the day (7:00AM- 3:30PM) Wednesday(7/25) through Friday (7/27) local closures in the Coolidge Avenue are in Roslyn Heights with flaggers present to provide alternate routes and ensure the safety of all parties.
