National Grid is making a multi-million dollar investment to modernize our natural gas system in Northwest Nassau County. This project, known as the Northwest Nassau Natural Gas Reliability Project, will help improve safety and reliability, and provide Long Island’s gas system with greater operational flexibility. It will also improve the gas system’s capacity to support economic growth. Upon completion of the project, National Grid will have installed approximately six miles of new gas main and built two new regulator stations in Northwest Nassau County.
