National Grid is making a significant investment to modernize our natural gas system in Northwest Nassau County. This project, known as the Northwest Nassau Natural Gas Integrity Project, will help improve system safety and provide Long Island’s gas system with greater operational flexibility. Upon completion of the project, National Grid will have installed approximately 11 miles of new gas main and built two new regulator stations in Northwest Nassau County.

Since the project started in June 2017 National Grid has installed two regulator stations in Roslyn Heights
and Old Westbury, and nearly 4 miles of new gas main on Old Westbury Road, Powerhouse Road, Locust
Lane and Roslyn Road.
