National Grid is making a significant investment to modernize our natural gas system in Northwest Nassau County. This project, known as the Northwest Nassau Natural Gas Integrity Project, will help improve system safety and provide Long Island’s gas system with greater operational flexibility. Upon completion of the project, National Grid will have installed approximately 11 miles of new gas main and built two new regulator stations in Northwest Nassau County.
Our Commitment
We plan to construct the new gas main safely, reliably and efficiently while acting as good neighbors and sharing information widely so that we can continue serving our community for decades to come.
Throughout the project, National Grid and its contractors will make every possible effort to update residents and businesses about upcoming activities, impacts and traffic management, and maintain an open and proactive dialogue about the project with our neighbors and our partners in Nassau County.
